The church is strategically located on the outskirts of Port Maria; which is the capital town of Saint Mary, Jamaica, West Indies. It is situated at 88 Stennett Street, which is also the site which accommodates the Port Maria High and Preparatory School. This site is 8801 square metres (or approximately 2.2 acres) in area, which allows for adequate and comfortable parking for worshipers on worship days and special functions.

The present location, however, was not the original site of the Port Maria Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 1944, when the church was first started, the meeting place was at Kirk Lane in Port Maria. This meeting place was destroyed by a storm that same year, and the members started worshiping in a shared building on Stennett Street with the Emmanuel Apostolic Church. Not long after, this current location was acquired as a gift from a land owner.

The Port Maria Seventh-day Adventist church is the largest of the six churches which make up the Port Maria Circuit of Churches. The church currently has a membership of approximately 500 members. This membership, while consisting mainly of members of African descent, contains people from different races and ethnic background.

The church has been pastored by about twenty-six (26) different pastors since it started in 1944, and has seen its membership continuously increasing due to baptisms and transfers. The members of the public are always welcomed to join us in worship at any of our worship times which are:

Sabbath                    9:15 am - 12:30 pm
                                3:00 pm - sunset

Sunday nights            7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Wednesday nights      7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
