The Adventist Youth Ministries provides the opportunity for our young adults to grow spiritually and socially through a network of support groups active in the church. All ages are welcome to be a part of the service of this department as we seek to bring the youth of the community close to the Lord, even as we get closer to him ourselves.



The Children's Ministries aim to develop the faith of our children from birth to age fourteen (14), leading them to a loving and saving relationship with Jesus. The Ministry provides the framework for children to grow spritually and socially, and develop their confidence as they portray their skills and talents. Training is offered in preaching, singing, dramatizing and speech. The children are trained in relationship building, social skills and worship decorum.

The Communication Department aims to communicate effectively. This is done so that we can in various ways, provide the world with a better understanding of the church and it's role. It is mandated to laise between the church and the community. It achieves its mandate by using the electronic media and other outlets, such as website, Facebook, flyers etc, to connect with the world as we spread The Gospel. The department works with the other departments/ ministries to spread the word about the activities of the Port Maria Seventh-day Adventtist Church.
This Ministry is constantly looking for the next technological innovation and invention to reach more people.

The Community Services Department of the Port Maria Seventh-day Adventist Church focuses on the outreach activities with the surrounding communities. Some of these activities include feeding of street people and shut-ins, visits to the infirmary etc. The aim is to allow the influence of the Church to be felt in the communities.




The Family Life Ministries focus on people through relationships. It provides tools to help individuals communicate more effectively, assist families in their financial planning, deepen commitment in marriage and in relationships . The Family Life Ministries help families grow in love and live in harmony as the family of God. The Ministry is committed to the strengthening of families for God's Kingdom by providing encouragement, enrichment and spiritual upliftment to the various components of our church family and our community.
These objectives are met through seminars, as well as through The Couples and The Singles Clubs.


The Health Ministries forms an integral part of the Adventist Church. The most important objective of the Health Ministry is to help men and women reach their full potential; mentally, spiritually and physically. The Heath Ministries does not only focus on assisting our members with living healthier, happier lives; it is also about reaching out to the surrounding communities

The Personal Ministries is the main missionary arm of the Church. It promotes evangelism in the Church, and organizes various methods through which the churchcan reach the communities with the Gospel. These methods may include evangelistic campaigns (crusades) or tract distribution.




The Sabbath School Department is considered the "heart" of the Church. This Department focuses on the attraction and retention of members. The services of this department are therefore generally geared towards nurturing the members.
